JUAN CAPELLA S.A. is a company which was founded by Mr. Juan Capella Estrada in Badalona, in 1922. Right from the outset, the company has specialised in the design and construction of can machinery for the metal can manufacturing industry.

In 1975, after a long process of company expansion and consolidation, it became a Limited Company, the legal denomination of which still remains today.

Always in line with the technological vanguard of the sector, in 1976, JUAN CAPELLA built the first can machinery with electronic control of the whole system. Four years later, the company developed the first Spanish systems for the manufacture of cans made of a combination of metal and paper-based material, which signified a tremendous step forward within the sector.

Our commercial policy continues to be dynamic and innovative; as a result of which, we enjoy international recognition. A good sign of this is the volume of yearly exports, which currently count for 60% of our production.

Since the company was founded in 1922, it has grown considerably and consistently year after year, fruit of many years of solid experience and recognised prestige. This is the main reason that we recently transferred the whole plant to a new location, in Vilassar de Mar.

At present, Capella specialises in the design and construction of complete lines for the production of metal cans, using PLC or CNC equipment to electronically control the whole productive system.

Generally speaking, our company can offer six different types of equipment:

For industrial cans,

Lines for the manufacture of cylindrical cans, from ¼ to 5 kg.
Lines for the manufacture of cylindrical and conical cans, from 5 to 25 litres.
Lines for the manufacture of drums, from 25 to 200 litre capacity.
Lines for the manufacture of metal/Kraft paper-based cans.

For the Food Industry,

Lines for the manufacture of cylindrical, square and shaped cans.
Lines for the manufacture of drawn cans (for fish and meats).
